Manchester City & Manchester United ready to go head-to-head for Real Madrid midfielder

Before you read on, do you fancy winning a £500 Sony Ericsson phone? You do, then simply e-mail your name, address and answer to the following question to football.corner@gmail.com.

Question : Who won the first ever World Cup back in 1930?

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are lining up bids for Real Madrid midfiedler Arjen Robben.

The Dutch winger has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu and in recent weeks, he has been strongly linked with a move back to the Premier League.

Robben, 25, has previously admitted that a move back to England may interest him, however he has also claimed he would be willing to stay and fight for his place in Madrid.

Both Mark Hughes and Sir Alex Ferguson clearly have money to spend so money is unlikely to be an issue in any potential deal. I would personally love to see Robben terrorising defenders in the Premier League once again. I was a huge fan of his whilst he was at Chelsea and I firmly believe United and indeed City could use him.

What do you think? Comments below please.
