Barcelona just won’t give up on £25 million Premier League midfielder
It would appear Barcelona just won’t give up on Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Spanish midfielder has been strongly linked with a move back to the club where it all began for him, however Arsenal are adamant he won’t be leaving North London anytime soon. Barca sporting director Txiki Beguiristain has today claimed that a move may happen but only at the right price.
Beguiristain had this to say about the possibility of any deal to take Fabregas to the Camp Nou : “It depends on how much we want to spend. If we spend a lot of money, it is possible. We do not know how much it will be yet. We have not asked Arsenal. If the amount is too high, we will not try.”
Fabregas, 22, recently admitted he was growing frustrated at the lack of silverware at Arsenal, however he retracted the statements just hours later and proceeded to committed himself to the club. I would be surprised if any deal was to happen this summer but I do feel that it is only a matter of time before Fabregas is on his way back to Barca. It will be a sad day when Fabregas does eventually leave England but lets hope it’s not for another few years at least.
Also, I must admit I would be very surprised if Arsenal let Fabregas go for anything less than £35 million as oppossed to the £25 million which one paper *cough* The Times *cough* reported today. What do you think? Comments below please.
